At least 156 firefighters and four helicopters are on the scene.

A brush fire has broken out in Rustic Canyon in Pacific Palisades near Rustic Canyon Ranch. At least 156 firefighters and four Los Angeles Fire Department helicopters are battling the blaze, which is spread over seven acres, according to several LAFD alerts. The fire is spreading, as the initial LAFD report said the fire was burning over five acres.

Firefighters were dispatched to the remote area of 3000 Rustic Canyon Road at around 12:30 p.m., with multiple people calling to reporting the flames, according to the LAFD.

No homes are immediately threatened and no injuries have been reported. About 100 campers and staff at Camp Josepho are sheltered in a safe place and not in harm's way, according to LAFD.

The LAFD is working with California State Park rangers to locate groups of hikers who may be close to the fire.

Nearby is also Murphy Ranch, a former Nazi camp located in the Rustic Canyon area of Pacific Palisades. It was named after the Murphy family that made money in the thumbtack business.

City and county fire personnel have also been busy since Friday afternoon , which is still burning.
