Palisadians Make TV News in Iowa

Volunteers from a Palisades church help repair a home in the Sioux City area that was affected by recent floods.

Palisadians made the news in Sioux City, Iowa this past weekend. KTIV, a local television news station profiled volunteers from who were in town to help repair a flood-damaged home.

According to the KTIV report, the team of volunteers arrived on April 27 to restore Susie Lytten's house in North Sioux City, South Dakota, which is on the Iowa border. Lytten and her neighbors were evacuated almost one year ago when the Missouri River flooded the area.

"We're supposed to help our neighbors and show love to those who need it," said Palisadian volunteer Sarah Rodriguez in the KTIV report. "And these people at this time need this help and we're really happy to be here."
