Pacific Palisades Library Association Accepting Entries For Childrens' Creative Writing Contest

Entries may take any literary form, such as short story, poem, memoir, essay or play, and will be judged in age categories. Winning entries will be dramatically read by professional actors.

The following information is from the Pacific Palisades Library Association:

Palisades children and teens are invited to participate in the annual creative writing contest sponsored by the Pacific Palisades Library Association.

Entries will be accepted through Sept. 4. All entires must be submitted to a librarian and logged in at the information desk. Entries may take any literary form, short story, poem, memoir, essay, play, etc. and will be judged in age categories. Contestants are limited to one entry, which must not exceed three pages (double-spaced), typed in fort size 12. Entries that were submitted to schools or have won prizes in other contests are not eligible.

Awards will be given out in the fall at the Palisades Branch Library at a ceremony with gift certificate prizes for first, second and third place winners.
