Yogurt Shoppe Presents Check to Palisades Elementary School

Following a two week fundraiser, the Yogurt Shoppe donates a check to Palisades Elementary School.

Students, parents, teachers and administrators of Palisades Elementary School gathered outdoors during a morning assembly to accept a donation check from the owners of The Yogurt Shoppe.

"It's nice to be able to do this.  It's why we opened the shop," said Kevin Sabin, co-owner of the Yogurt Shoppe in Pacific Palisades.

The check was presented to Alyssa MacMiller, room mom and PEP co-chair of the parents fundraiser group.  "We had our whole class meet there one night for yogurt," said Alyssa.  "It was so much fun."

The fundraiser ran from October 16 - 29 and raised $549.23 for the school.

Both the school and Yogurt Shoppe hope to do another fundraiser very soon.

Not sure. There's not always an immediate answer to helicopters circling. Did anyone else hear orRead More see this? How long did it last? Was it just 1 copter or many police units?
