Palisades Camps: A Vacation in Paradise

Local faith communities welcome neighborhood kids to study the Bible, swim, make crafts, hike and more!

Stores are already holding those “back-to-school" sales, but in the lush and beautiful Pacific Palisades there is plenty of time left for summer fun. This is a rundown of camps and Vacation Bible Schools still accepting enrollments. Patch also gives a "tip of the sunshade" to the churches that finished camp earlier in the summer.

Forest Home Christian Camp in the San Bernardino Mountains is the destination for third, fourth and fifth graders from Calvary and other churches in Southern California.

Sleep-away campers enjoy swimming in the lake, propelling friends off of a large inflatable blob, horseback riding, archery, creating unique crafts, completing a low ropes course and much more. The main goal, however, is to enjoy a little separation from their busy lives and to spend time enjoying friends, God's creation and hearing stories from the Bible.

Camp takes place August 14 to 19. Tuition is $450. For more information contact Director of Children’s Ministries, Amy Pendergraft at (310) 454-6537 x105 or email her at: apendergraft@calvarypalisades.org.
