A vehicle fire on the southbound 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive closed lanes and stopped traffic on Monday morning, according to the LA City Fire Department.
The fire broke out at 10:48 a.m. and involved a small vegetation fire, said LAFD Spokesman Brian Humphrey. Humphrey added that all southbound lanes of the 405 and two of the northbound lanes were closed while firefighters pulled a hose across the freeway.
The fire was out just after 11 a.m. and no one was injured, said Humphreys.
As of 11:45 a.m., all lanes of the 405 Freeway had been reopened, according to a CHP online report. The Skirball on ramp was closed briefly, reported CHP, but it reopened at around 11:30 a.m.
