Photos: Burglary Suspect Caught on Amalfi

Palisades Patrol apprehend the man after he sets off a residential alarm.

Officers Eric Fine and Alonzo Hernandez caught a burglary suspect in the 1100-block of Amalfi Drive in Pacific Palisades Wednesday afternoon.

According to Los Angeles Police Department Senior Officer Michael Moore, a woman first encountered the 29-year-old male suspect in her living room in the 200-block of Amalfi Drive around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The responding Palisades Patrol officer said the woman heard a noise coming from the first floor and when she went to check it out, she ran right into the suspect. The man said he was looking for a neighbor. After the resident responded that the neighbor did not live there, the suspect left the home and walked down the street. The resident then called police.

Fine and Hernandez caught the burglar after he set off an alarm at a home later that afternoon in the 1100-block of Amalfi Drive.

According to LAPD, the suspect was observed knocking on front doors on D'Este Drive and Napoli Drive that same day.
