Pali High Grad in Hit-and-Run Accident Dies

David Pregerson died at UCLA Medical Center Tuesday morning.

The 23-year-old victim in an apparent hit-and-run incident died Tuesday, according an update on his Facebook page. Rabbi Dovid Gurevich of the Chabad at UCLA confirmed that David Pregerson died at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood after he was taken off life support Monday night.

A friend who identified only as Ramtin posted, "[Tuesday], a little after 10:00 am, David Maccabee Pregerson, who we all love and cherish, passed away."

Pregerson, a Pali High graduate, was hit as he was walking home and left on the side of Chautauqua Boulevard, west of Sunset Boulevard, early Friday morning, police said. Police still have no leads on the suspect or suspects in the case and are still investigating.

Friends mourning the passing of Pregerson took to social media with messages of love. Ashley Marie (@dearashleymarie) wrote: “Rest in peace David Pregerson. You will truly be missed. And wherever you are, you're still in our hearts.”

Pregerson, a recent graduate of UCLA, was an aspiring film producer. He worked as camera crew on several TV shows and film shorts, according to his IMDb profile.
