Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: DUI, and Man, Truck ID'd in Vehicle Burglary

The following information was supplied by the West L.A. Division of the Los Angeles Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

DUI

A 19-year-old man was arrested on Dec. 24 at 3 a.m. at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Bienveneda Avenue. He was charged with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated after being involved in a traffic collision, according to Los Angeles police.

Suspect ID'd in vehicle burglary

On Dec. 26 at 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of Los Liones Drive and Sunset Boulevard, a suspect smashed a window to a vehicle and took a purse, wallet and cell phone. Police describe the suspect as a white man, 5'9'' and 130 pounds, 30 years old and driving a white pick-up truck with a blue stripe.

Suspects ID'd trying to pry off street sign

On Dec. 24 at 12 p.m. at the intersection of Swarthmore Avenue and De Pauw Street, suspects attempted to pry off a city street sign, causing damage. Police describe the suspects as both white men with blonde hair, 5'9'' and 155 pounds, 18 years old and driving a silver Ford. 

Vehicle stolen

Between Dec. 30 at 11 p.m. and Dec. 31 at 8:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Napoli Drive, a suspect took a vehicle from a driveway. The keys were reportedly found in the vehicle.

Burglar flees vacant home

Between Dec. 26 at 4:30 p.m. and Dec. 28 at 11:30 a.m. in the 14700 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect pried open a window to enter a property, only to flee when discovering it was vacant.

Burglary from vehicles

  • Between Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 25 at 7 a.m. in the 500 block of West Rustic Road, a suspect smashed a window to a victim's vehicle and took a wallet, money and credit cards.
  • On Dec. 14 between 12 and 6 a.m., a suspect entered a victim's unlocked vehicle and took golf clubs, a briefcase and an iPad.

Suspect(s) egg car

On Dec. 26 at 10:16 p.m. in the 700 block of Toyopa Drive, suspects (one male has been identified with no further description), approached a vehicle, removed the car cover and threw eggs at the vehicle, causing damage.

Stolen bikes

  • Between Nov. 22 at 10:30 a.m. and Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Marquez Place, a suspect entered a multi unit garage and took a bicycle.
  • Between Dec. 22 at 9 a.m. and Dec. 26 at 12:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Marquez Place, a suspect entered a multi unit garage and took a bicycle.
