Pacific Palisades Police Blotter: Bomb Threat, Prowler ID'd

The following information was supplied by the West L.A. Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Suspect threatens business with bomb threat

On Jan. 22 at 4 p.m. in the 15300 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect, who has been identified, called the manager of a business over a dispute and threatened to "blow the place up," according to Los Angeles police.

Prowler ID'd after banging on window

On Jan. 29 at 5:45 p.m. in the 16500 block of Chattanooga Avenue, a suspect approached a home and began banging on the window. Police describe the suspect as a black man with dark hair and brown eyes, 5'9'' and 30 years old.

Grand theft auto twice on West Channel Road

  • Between Jan. 23 at 2:30 p.m. and Jan. 25 at 9:40 a.m. in the 100 block of West Channel Road, a suspect took a vehicle from a parking lot.
  • On Feb. 2 at 6:45 p.m. in the 100 block of West Channel Road, a suspect took a vehicle from a parking lot after presenting himself to the valet as the vehicle's owner.

Golf clubs stolen from vehicle

Between Dec. 28, 2012 at 8:15 p.m. and Jan. 29 at 7 a.m. in the 100 block of Chautauqua Boulevard, a suspect smashed a window to a parked vehicle and took a golf club set.

Home burglary

On Jan. 31 between 6:45 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Hartzell Street, the suspect pried open a window to enter a home and took money, jewelry and laptop computer.

Vandalism

Between Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. and Jan. 31 at 8 a.m. in the 15500 block of Sunset Boulevard, a suspect smashed a window on a vehicle.
