LAPD Asks for Help in Finding Suspect in Antique Store Robbery

Detectives release official description of suspect in yesterday's robbery of The Gift Garden Antiques store.

The Los Angeles Police Deparment is asking for the public's help in finding the man suspected of robbing The Gift Garden Antiques store on Antioch Boulevard yesterday morning.

The suspect is described as an African-American male who looked like he might be between 20 and 25 years of age, approximately six-feet tall and weighing 150 pounds, dressed in dark clothing and carrying a hand gun. He is considered armed and dangerous.

According to a press release from the LAPD West L.A. Division, the suspect entered the store around 10:20 a.m. yesterday, forced owner Sharon Carroll to the rear of the store at gunpoint and tied her up. He then took cash and "several gold and silver items."
