Cyclist Struck on PCH Near Mobile Home Park

Los Angeles and Santa Monica public safety personnel responded to the accident in Pacific Palisades Tuesday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

One person was transported to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center Tuesday morning following a collision between a vehicle and bicyclist on the Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey said the received a report at approximately 7:51 a.m. of the vehicle versus bicyclist at or near the intersection of Temescal Canyon Road and the Pacific Coast Highway. An ambulance transported one person to the hospital. Humphrey added a Santa Monica Fire Department engine respsonded as well.

No information is available on the victim's age, name, residence or condition, and Humphrey said the investigation was handed over to the Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division.

One motorist who emailed Patch said they were a couple vehicles ahead of the accident, claiming the bicyclist was crossing from Will Rogers State Beach to the Palisades Bowl Mobile Home Park.
