Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens
Trained as an art historian, Birute Vileisis obtained her doctorate at Princeton University in early medieval art and taught art history at the University of Virginia prior to becoming a researcher at Dumbarton Oaks. In the 1980's, she moved to California and obtained a certification in Horticulture. Today, Dr. Vileisis visits and photographs gardens throughout the world. Her talk will focus on the gardens located at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent. Its White Garden is one of the most imitated features of the property. The venue itself, is one of the most visited in the United Kingdom. Join us for this wonderful talk. All monthly meetings are open to the public. There is no cost to attend.
