Pali Chabad Director Joins Governor For Menorah Lighting

Rabbi Zushe Cunin meets California Governor Jerry Brown on the steps of the state capitol for the annual event, reports the Chabad-Lubavitch Community News Service.

Rabbi Zushe Cunin, director of , made a trip up to Sacramento for the 18th Annual Capitol Menorah Lighting on Dec. 19, reports the Chabad-Lubavitch Community News Service.

Cunin, along with Rabbi Chaim N. Cunin and Rabbi Mendel Cohen, the director of Chabad of Sacramento, joined Governor Jerry Brown for the festivities.

Brown spoke highly of Chabad's work, namely the establishment of a "nonsectarian drug and alcohol treatment center in Los Angeles," according to the report.

The Chabad-Lubavitch Community News Service reported that Cunin, Cohen and Cunin also presented Brown and the people of California with a "Menorah of Freedom" during the event.
