Northbound 405 Freeway Closing for Two Nights

The northbound closure will be in effect Thursday and Friday beginning at 10 p.m.

The northbound 405 Freeway will be closed from Getty Center Drive to Ventura Boulevard from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday and Friday nights.

According to Metro, the closure will be in effect to install a walkway on the northern side of the Skirball Bridge, to do construction work on columns on the Mulholland Bridge and to remove and replace freeway signs.

The freeway ramps along the northbound 405 between Getty Center Drive and Ventura Boulevard may begin to close as early as 7 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday, according to officials.

Metro officials announced that beginning Oct. 20, the from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for three months due to utility relocation. The Skirball Bridge closures will remain in effect during the northbound 405 closure.

Sepulveda Boulevard will be open during the closure and will be used as a detour route, according to Metro. Emergency responders will be able to access the area at all times.
