The Palisades-Malibu YMCA announced its extending its hours at the Christmas Tree Lot at Simon Meadow this week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. If you come in this week, you have a chance to receive a free stand too, according to organizers.

In nearby Brentwood, I found a Christmas tree lot at the intersection of Montana Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard. There's also a tree lot reported at Sunset Boulevard and Barrington Avenue.
