L.A. Gas Prices Fall on Earth Day

The price at the pump declines for the 27th consecutive day.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County declined Sunday for the 27th consecutive day, dropping four-tenths of a cent to $4.211, its lowest amount since Feb. 23.

The average price is 3.5 cents less than a week ago, 17.3 cents lower than one month ago and eight-tenths of a cent below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased 15.1 cents over the past 27 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Saturday.

As of Monday morning, the cheapest gas in Pacific Palisades was $4.30 per gallon at the station at 17301 Pacific Coast Highway.
