According to Metro, LADWP will be installing an electrical vault on Church Lane, so the street will be closed from Sepulveda Boulevard to Sunset Boulevard beginning Friday at 9 p.m.
Church Lane is expected to reopen at 12 p.m. Saturday, but Metro officials say it may reopen as early as 6 a.m.
Although the full closure goes into effect at 9 p.m., Metro says traffic on Church Lane will be moved to one lane in each direction as early as 12 p.m. Friday.

Detours for the Church Lane closure are as follows:
- Southbound Sepulveda Boulevard to southbound Church Lane traffic will continue south on Sepulveda to westbound Montana Avenue, to northbound Church Lane and back to Sunset Boulevard.
- Northbound Church Lane traffic traveling to Sepulveda Boulevard will be detoured to southbound Church Lane, to eastbound Montana Avenue and back to Sepulveda.
Metro says local access for residents and businesses will be maintained, the southbound 405 Freeway ramps will remain open and emergency personnel will have access to the area.
