Palisades Deli Owner to Replace Junior's in Westwood

Lenny Rosenberg's new restaurant is slated to open in the early to middle of next month.

Lenny's Deli will soon take the place of the now defunct Junior's Deli in Westwood, Eater L.A. reported.

Lenny Rosenberg, opened a location in Pacific Palisades in 2011, but closed the restaurant in 2012, The Wrap reported.

Rosenberg and longtime friend and business partner Steve Taub operated the Palisades deli together. Taub reported last week he closed the sports bar next to their deli space to make way for a high-end restaurant and wine bar.

A banner on the building at 2379 Westwood Blvd. says Lenny's is "opening soon." Taub said Rosenberg will re-open Junior's former space as a Jewish deli in the early to middle of next month.

A rent dispute prompted the closure of famed Junior's Deli in December. The restaurant, in business for more than 50 years, had been located in Westwood since 1967.
