LADWP to Hold Live Webcast About Rates

Angelenos have the option to attend Thursday's meeting online or in person.

The Los Angeles Department of Water & Power is holding a Thursday at 6 p.m. LADWP customers also have the opportunity to attend the meeting in person at the agency's headquarters downtown.

The rates process is what the LADWP calls a dialogue between customers and the department. According to the LADWP website, it needs to make changes in order to replace aging infrastructure for both water and power. This will put further financial pressure on the agency, according to the LADWP. So, it's asking Angelenos for input as far as top-priority projects and how these investments may affect customers' power bills.

LADWP officials held "community collaboration sessions across the city" and conducted webinars for both residential and commercial customers this summer. Results from those community outreach meetings will be shared Thursday.
