It is my pleasure to introduce Luxe Homecare to the Pacific Palisades community.

The business provides superior, cost-effective, compassionate care to their clients, enabling them to live with as much independence and dignity as their condition permits, providing peace of mind to clients and their families. Luxe Homecare offers these services in many settings, including homes, nursing homes, personal care homes and hospitals, or wherever their clients reside.

Fay and Ben Vahdani are the owners of Luxe Homecare.  Upon meeting them, I had the opportunity to learn a little bit more about their business, and how they are contributing to the community.  Below are a few questions and answers from Fay and Ben.

Q:  When did you open your doors? 

A:  We have been in our Pacific Palisades office for nearly 1.5 years.

Q:  Who is your primary customer? 

A:  Our primary customers are seniors that need help with the activities of daily living.

Q:  What makes you the leader in your field? 

A:  Homecare Aide Organizations are the only unlicensed, unregulated health care services in California.  In fact, the only requirement to provide home care services in a person's home is a business license.  Although any business owner would prefer less regulation and accountability, Luxe Homecare is willing to comply with whatever terms are necessary to make it's industry safer for patients and employees.  Luxe Homecare has received the prestigious "Home Care Aide Organization" from the California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) and National Private Duty Association (NPDA).  When you contact Luxe Homecare, our Care Manager performs a free assessment of your loved one's condition.  We speak with their physician, social worker, hospital and/or nursing home staff.  We also set up a meeting with you and your loved one to find out what types of services are needed.  Together we develop an individualized care plan to manage your loved one's daily living activities.  Once this is completed, we will find the caregiver that can best provide the services they require.  You are integrally involved in this process, which includes meeting the caregiver before they begin working with your family member.  Luxe homecare is a leader in this field because we provide quality care, hire the best employees and keep care affordable without compromising any ethical standards.

Q:  What is the best thing about Senior Care? 

A:  Life can get very complicated when a senior or a family member needs additional care. We can be their helper, whether they have a debilitating disease such as Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s, or need post hospitalization or surgical care.  It is very rewarding for us to help seniors in need of help.

Q:  What is your favorite thing about the Palisades and West LA in general?  

A:  We have been residents of Pacific Palisades for the past 12 years.  It is a small town where people know each other.  We have raised our daughter in a great community, and would like to contribute to our community and give back the love that we have received.

Q:  Why did you choose the Palisades to open your business?

A:  We love our town! It is a great joy to serve our community by making Pacific Palisades a more peaceful place to live.

Q:  If you could say anything to the residents of the Palisades, Malibu and Santa Monica what would it be? 

A:  When you hire someone to care for your elderly family member, whether they have a long-term illness, are disabled or are recuperating from a hospitalization or surgical procedure, it is important to know that the caregivers are not only capable, insured and bonded, but compassionate and kind.  Our caregivers are all vetted.  We conduct background checks and drug testing, and provide all of our employees with Workers Compensation coverage.  No one enters your loved one's home without going through this process.

Our caregiving services including a number of daily living activities, such as:

• Driving / escorting to appointments (including doctor’s visits), errands, shopping, etc.
