Video: Theatre Palisades Youth Presents 'Little Women'

The summer program involves 30 talented kids working both on and off stage.

The young actors and crew with the Theatre Palisades Youth program have been working hard all summer learning lines, polishing props and caring for their costumes. And now it's time to shine! Opening night is Friday, July 22.

The group will be performing Little Women, a Broadway musical based on Louisa May Alcott's 1869 novel.

Dorothy Dillingham Blue, the show's director, said there are 30 kids, ranging from third to 9th grade, in the program this year. There are 25 families in the mix, helping with such tasks as costumes and makeup.

Patch got a sneak preview from the troupe's tech week rehearsals. Be sure to watch the talented young stars sing, dance and deliver some memorable lines!

Little Women is playing at Theatre Palisades July 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 31. Showtimes are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.
