Palisades Elementary Yee Haw Day Fair

Palisades Elementary will host its annual Yee Haw Day Fair on Saturday, November 5, and the community is invited to share in the fun at the Palisades Elementary campus.  The event, which runs from 2:00 – 5:30 p.m., offers a diverse array of Western-themed entertainment, from old-fashioned carnival games to line dancing and trick roping.

A long-standing tradition at Pali Elementary, Yee Haw Day Fair benefits Palisades Enrichment Programs (PEP).  Funds raised help support critical programs including class-size reduction, technology, as well as music, art and drama.

Each year on Yee Haw Day, local families saddle up  and enjoy an array of boot-stomping fun.  Some of the highlights this year will include an acclaimed trick-roper who will teach kids how to rope a virtual calf, line dancing that will be led by a professional square-dance caller, the ever-popular cake walk and performances by Fancy Feet.  Good eats will be plentiful with a variety of carnival fare.  In addition, long-time chili cook-off champion, Jim Taylor, will be unveiling “Sherriff Jim’s Chili Stand,” which is sure to be a hit with all the cowpokes and cowgirls.
