Pacific Palisades Christmas Celebration Services

It may be hard to believe, but Christmas is already here. The following is a list of services at local congregations this Saturday and Sunday.

15100 W. Sunset Blvd., Pacific Palisades

Service: Children and Family Mass

• When: Dec. 24 at 4 p.m. 
• Details: There will be a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Service: Christmas Mass

• When: Dec. 24 at 6 p.m.
• Details: An organ and brass concert will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Service: Mass at Night

• When: Dec. 24 at 10 p.m.
• Details: An organ and brass concert will begin at 9:30 p.m.

Service: Christmas Mass

• When: Dec. 25 at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
• Details: An organ and brass concert will begin at 11 a.m. before the 11:30 a.m. mass.

Service: Candlelight Service

• When: Dec. 24 at 7 p.m.
• Details: Hear the story of Christmas, enjoy music and sing the carol Silent Night by candlelight.

Service: Christmas Day Worship Service

• When: Dec. 25 at 10 a.m.
• Details: There will be worship, carol singing and a lighting of the Christ candle.

Service: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

• When: Dec. 24 at 4:30 p.m.
• Details: The service will be followed by a potluck reception. The sermon will be: "Birth of Good News."

Service: Christmas Day Service

• When: Dec. 25 10 a.m.
• Details: The sermon will be: "Creator of Good News."

1031 Bienveneda Ave., Pacific Palisades

Service: Children’s Service with the Holy Eucharist and Godly Play Liturgy

• When: Dec. 24 at 3:30 p.m.
• Details: The congregation will be asked to release unoccupied seats at 3:20 p.m.

Service: The Holy Eucharist

• When: Dec. 24 5:30 p.m.
• Details: There will be carols and music by the Saint Matthew's Parish youth band Jagged Faith.

Service: Choral Meditation

• When: Dec. 24 at 8 p.m.
• Details: Saint Matthew’s Choir and Chamber Orchestra will be performing music of the season.

Service: Holy Eucharist with Choir and Chamber Orchestra

• When: Dec. 24 at 9 p.m.

*Note: Infant and toddler care is available during the 3:30 pm service on Dec. 24 only.

Service: The Holy Eucharist

• When: Dec. 25 at 11 a.m.
• Details: Congregational carols will be sung, along with a choir quartet. 

*Note: There is no Godly Play Sunday School on Dec. 25.

Service: Christmas Eve Inspirational Program

• When: Dec. 24 from 6-8 p.m.   
• Details: There will be scriptural readings, Christmas carols and meditation. There will be a flower offering and meditation from 6-7 p.m. The Inspirational Program is from 7-8 p.m.
