Monday Morning Shot: Double Rainbow

A beautiful photograph of Pacific Palisades can often be more invigorating than your cup of coffee.

What's better than a double-shot of espresso? A reminder first thing on Monday morning that home is a beautiful place.

Southern California survived a sprinkle on Nov. 4. It likely caused a few fender-benders and rush hour to linger past the 7 p.m. hour. Despite the annoyances the rain brought to the LA area, this photo proves there's a reason to keep your head up. When the clouds part, there might just be something beautiful waiting for you.

Palisadian and Community Council Vice Chair Haldis Toppel snapped this photo at the Lachman Lane ridge at Lachman and Merivale Lane at 6 p.m. on Nov. 4. The view is from Enchanted Way. The single rainbow is very vibrant, but if you glance a little to the left, you'll see another one peeking out of the clouds.
