Here are five things to know in Pacific Palisades today.

1. Palisades Charter High School is looking for a few good volunteers to help with activities for the school’s seniors. Please contact the committee chair of the committee you wish to join. All are welcome!

2. A traffic safety seminar for teens (and their parents) will take place  tonight hosted by The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station and the City of Malibu. The free seminar starts at 8 p.m. at  Malibu City Hall 23825 Stuart Ranch Rd, Malibu. Details here.

3. The Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club hosts Richard Greenberg tonight at 7 p.m. After more than thirty years in the entertainment industry as a post-production executive, editor and writer/producer "Raising Children that Other People Like to Be Around" is Greenberg’s first book. Greenberg is a popular college-level instructor, and a whole-hearted proponent of simplification. Details here.

4. Tickets are on sale for Children’s Bureau’s 4th Annual Celebrity Chefs & Wine Tasting to be held on Thursday, Oct.10 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the historic AT&T Center – Penthouse in downtown Los Angeles. Details here
