Sunset Blvd. Drag Racing Watch: Did You Hear It?

Palisades Patch readers took to Facebook Thursday morning to vocalize what has, and continues to be, a never-ending issue of speeding - specifically motorcycle drag racing - along Sunset Boulevard.

It happens Wednesday and Sunday nights, and on Thursday mornings, the Palisades Patch Facebook page typically receives feedback from Sunset Boulevard residents who continue to caution about the public safety and quality of life issue.

Here's a sampling to Thursday's comments, asking what drag racing residents saw or heard the night of Aug. 14:

Yes they did and it was ridiculous. The speeds are dangerous. Calling the police has never done a thing. I honestly cannot understand how a giant group of loud motorcycles breaking many laws can get away with this year after year. - Michelle Miller Barron

I think anyone who has lived her longer than 5 minutes is sick of it. Calling the police does nothing. I've asked before if anyone has a contact at one of the networks, I think a live report and investigation is the only way to get to the bottom of this. - Michele Miller Baron

At times, government and public safety officials have been made aware of the issue, but as the years pile up, the speeding and accidents continue.
