At approximately 2:55 p.m. a patrol officer heard a scanner call for the Los Angeles Fire Department to respond to a traffic collision in the area of Monument Avenue and Sunset Boulevard.

The collision occurred in the parking lot in front of Norris Hardware, located at 15140 Sunset Blvd. According to Pali Patrol, a maroon, four-door vehicle and a silver SUV vehicle collided on Sunset at the drive way of the hardware store.

The collision then caused the SUV to veer onto the sidewalk, colliding with five parked vehicles in the Norris Hardware parking lot. At approximately 3:08 p.m., several Los Angeles Police Department units arrived and Pali Patrol was relieved of traffic control duties.

A correction was made to the name of the hardware business.
