Palisadian's Money-Saving Website For Kids Featured on KABC

Palisadian Rudy DeFelice is the founder of a company called "Kidworth," an online resource aimed at teaching kids how to be smart with their money. According to the site, it's all about teaching a child how to use their income (money from birthdays and allowances) in a productive way. The site helps kids set goals and even helps them build a portfolio. On Jan. 5, DeFelice was featured on KABC news during a consumer report. "If you could get kids to think about just the money that comes into their life ordinarily, and use it in a productive way that serves their interests, it would do them a great favor, both in terms of building a nest egg, but also in giving them some skills," said DeFelice in the report by KABC's consumer specialist Ric …

Palisades Insurance Company Relocates to Santa Monica

Perr&Knight announces it will move its headquarters from Pacific Palisades to Santa Monica.

Insurance consulting services company Perr&Knight announced on Monday that it will be moving it's headquarters from Pacific Palisades to Santa Monica. In a press release posted on PR Newswire, managing principal Tim Perr said, "After 17 years in offices in Pacific Palisades, the move to a new location in a modern, class A building in Santa Monica marks a new chapter in our firm's history." Perr went on to say it would be a more accessible location for both their employees and clients. The release stated that Perr&Knight was founded in 1994 by Perr and Scott Knight in Pacific Palisades. Perr&Knight has offices throughout the United States, according to the company website.

Angelenos have heard it from transportation officials, government officials and police, "Stay home the weekend of July 16-17." Pacific Palisades neighborhood retailers and restaurants are even sweetening the deal for residents, offering great discounts to make your "staycation" weekend worthwhile. “This weekend will be the perfect opportunity for the community to reacquaint with old favorites and get to know some of the new businesses in town,” Palisades Chamber of Commerce President Greg Wood said in a press release. “Treat yourself and your family to some ice cream, frozen yogurt, cupcakes and delicious meals at the variety of restaurants in town."
