Opened in 1992, Kay & Dave's Cantina is a Mexican restaurant with additional locations in Santa Monica, Brentwood and Culver City. The menu includes appetizers, soups, salads, tostadas, fajitas, seafood and a special selection of vegetarian dishes. Combination plates and light lunch meals are also available, as well as several Oaxacan created by executive chef Alejo Grijalva, who started out as a dishwasher at the Brentwood location. Catering services are available for business lunches and birthdays. David Licht, who started Kay & Dave's on Pacific Coast Highway in 1991, continues to oversee the restaurants. The company participates in community fundraising efforts for local schools and organizations.
