Vodka, Village Green, Harvest Festival and More

Here are five things to know in Pacific Palisades for the upcoming weekend.

1.The first ever of a once-a-month event – the Palisades Library Harvest Festival takes place this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Among the highlights: Pali Crop Swap. Bring in home grown fruits, vegetables or herbs to swap with others. 861 Alma Real Drive Pacific Palisades. Details here.

2. The Village Green celebrates its 40th birthday. Listen to hometown Oom PaPa Band. Meet Honorary Mayor, Jake Steinfeld and more. This Sunday starting at 11 a.m.  On the Village Green (the corner of Sunset and Swarthmore). Details here.

3. Take part in Wilderness Survival Workshops. Saturdays from Oct. 5 to Nov.  2 at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas. Details here.

4. Today is National Vodka Day. Nobody seems to have any idea why, but as long as you drink responsibly, the question is probably, why not? Tell us your favorite brand of Vodka and share your favorite vodka cocktail. Recipes accepted too! Post in the comments.
