Pali High Booster Club, Blue Footed Boobies, Ice Cream Cones and More

Here are five things to know in Pacific Palisades this week.

1. The Palisades Charter High Booster Club will meet Tuesday, Sept. 24  at 6:30 pm in the PCHS library.  Come learn about Booster Club programs, hear grant requests from motivated Pali High students, staff and parents, and assist us in deciding how to support our school. Email paliboosters@gmail.com with questions.

2. Remember last week’s sighting of the Blue Footed Booby in Pacific Palisades? (story here). Well, now they’re being seen just about everywhere! Check out the sightings here.

3. 10 Los Angeles Neighborhood Councils won Empower LA awards this year. Only one did on the Westside, though – the Sout Robertson Neighborhood Council. What will it take for the Palisades NC to win in 2014?

4. Is Halloween really just over a month away? Stay ahead of the curve and plan your vintage Halloween event in style. Learn how to do so, here.

5. Today is National Ice Cream Cone Day. Which begs the question, shouldn’t every day be national ice cream cone day? What’s your favorite flavor and who sells the best ice cream in Pacific Palisades? Tell us in the comments.
