Palisades Yogurt Shoppe Raises Funds on 9/11 For Local Firefighters

Five percent of all sales on 9/11 were donated to the Pacific Palisades Fire Department.

Pacific Palisades’ Yogurt Shoppe has once again come out to support the local community.

Last Wednesday, on the anniversary of 9/11, the store held what is now officially known as the Annual 9/11 Fundraiser: Honoring Our Own Brave Heroes.

Five percent of all profits from the day were donated to the Pacific Palisades Fire Department.

Maya Lasry told Patch the funds were raised to recognize “the courageous firefighters that risked and gave their lives fighting for and rescuing the many lives they did on 9/11.”

The Yogurt Shoppe presented the Palisades fire department with the proceeds in the form of a $75 check. “They were touched by the extra turn out we had in the shop that day because of our community’s support of all that they do,” said Lasry.
