Palisadian Dan Nabel is one of the latest additions to the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Los Angeles (CASA/LA) Board of Directors.
The organization made the official announcement last week.
CASA/LA is a nonprofit organization that provides citizen volunteers who serve as court-appointed advocates for children in foster care.
According to a press release, Nabel is involved in pro-bono work for Public Counsel and the Alliance for Children's Rights. So, the organization felt Nabel's legal expertise and experience working for children's rights groups would help increase the CASA/LA volunteer base.
"I wanted to join CASA's board because CASA improves the lives of thousands of children who need help," Nabel said in the release. "Who wouldn't want to be a part of an organization that does that?"
Nabel studied law at the University of Southern California and is an associate with Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP in Los Angeles.
