Pali Patriotic Home Decorating Contest Is In Full Swing

Hundreds of residents engage in friendly competition to festoon their homes with flags, bunting and ever-more creative patriotic displays.

The entry deadline approaches for the Pacific Palisades Americanism Parade Association/Joan Sather Real Estate Patriotic Home Contest ramps up as more entries are beginning to come in.

PAPA announced it's expanding its Fourth of July home decorating contest to all neighborhoods in the Palisades.

It's become a wildly popular Fourth of July tradition in the Alphabet Streets, Via Bluffs and Huntington neighborhoods, with hundreds of residents engaging in friendly competition to festoon their homes with flags, bunting and ever-more creative patriotic displays.

Patriotic Palisadians in every neighborhood will now be able to compete with their neighbors for bragging rights and valuable prizes. PAPA announced this week they've received some great prizes this year donated by local businesses like Lavender Blue, The Yogurt Shoppe and the Palisadian-Post.

Entering the contest is simple. Just take a photo of your decorated home, then post it to the PAPA Facebook page, or e-mail the photo to info@palisadesparade.org. Include your name and property address.
