L.A. Magazine Grades Backbone Trail and Other Summer Oases Spots

Areas near Pacific Palisades receive a rating, including how much sunlight plays a factor into the oasis.

Summer favorite oases near Pacific Palisades, such as the Backbone Trail, Annenberg Community Beach House and the Getty Center, as well as greater Los Angeles fun outdoor spots, received grades based on sunlight exposure from L.A. Magazine.

The magazine's rating for the 65-mile Backbone Trail, which stretches from Pacific Palisades to Point Mugu and was reported to be receiving much improvements last summer, states a 10-mile stretch between Will Rogers State Park between Pali and Topanga is most enjoyable, but cautions to hydrate well.
