Every Pali Street Has Home Decorating Dibs in Fourth of July Contest

Entering its sixth year, the Fourth of July home decorating contest is widely popular throughout Pacific Palisades.

The Pacific Palisades Americanism Parade Association announced Wednesday it's expanding its Fourth of July home decorating contest to all neighborhoods in the Palisades.

The annual Patriotic Home Decorating Contest sponsored by the Palisades Americanism Parade Association (PAPA) and Joan Sather Real Estate
has become a wildly popular Fourth of July tradition in the Alphabet Streets, Via Bluffs and Huntington neighborhoods, with hundreds of residents engaging in friendly competition to festoon their homes with flags, bunting and ever-more creative patriotic displays.

Patriotic Palisadians in every neighborhood will now be able to compete with their neighbors for bragging rights and valuable prizes.

Entering the contest is simple. Just take a photo of your decorated home, then post it to the PAPA Facebook page, or e-mail the photo to info@palisadesparade.org. Include your name and property address.

For more information, visit the PAPA contest page.

Legendary actor Ed Asner will serve as grand marshal for the 65th annual parade.

What's your secret patriotic decorating skill? Have you won the contest in years past? Let us know!
