Palisadian Sets Harvard-Westlake Lacrosse Record

Evan Meister breaks the school single-game scoring mark with 12 points in a win over Crespi.

Palisadian , a junior on the North Hollywood boys lacrosse team, set a school varsity record for most points in a single game, tallying 12 in the Wolverines' 23-4 rout of Encino Crespi last Saturday.

Meister, the son of founder Charlie Meister, had five goals and seven assists, bettering the single-game mark of 11 points set just three days earlier by Wolverines senior Corey Wizenberg, who had three goals and eight assists in a 16-3 win over West Hills Chaminade.

Meister has 22 goals and 26 assists this season and is fifth all-time on Harvard-Westlake's points list with 83. Wizenberg is the school's career leader with 120 points. Meister had 22 goals and nine assists for 31 points as a sophomore last spring and three goals and two assists for five points as a freshman in 2009.

The Wolverines (10-0 overall, 6-0 in Mission League) have three regular season games remaining. They travel to archrival Los Angeles Loyola on Thursday, then to Brentwood School on Saturday before finishing the schedule against Palisades on Friday, April 29, at Stadium by the Sea.

Harvard-Westlake is currently No. 24 in the state and No. 10 in the Southern Section in the . The Wolverines have scored 124 goals and allowed just 50. They defeated Loyola 17-4 in the first league meeting March 19 and beat Brentwood 13-3 in the first round of league play March 22.

There are over 50 Pacific Palisades boys and girls playing high school lacrosse at Palisades, Brentwood, Harvard-Westlake, Loyola and Westlake Village Oaks Christian, many of whom were introduced to the sport through the LA Lacrosse League.
