Pali High's Mylz Blake Named Varsity Football MVP

The varsity and junior varsity football teams are honored during the Palisades Charter High School Football Banquet.

The new year kicked off with quite an honor for Pali High senior and varsity football player Mylz Blake. On Jan. 21, the fullback and linebacker was named the 2011 varsity team's Most Valuable Player at the Football Banquet at Mercer Hall.

Mylz signed a letter of intent to play ball at the University of Southern Oregon in the fall.

  • Offensive Player of the Year: Nate Breall
  • Top Offensive Back: Justin Sinclair
  • Top Receiver: Michael Mell
  • Top Offensive Lineman: Chris Rose
  • Defensive Player of the Year: Corey Richardson
  • Top Defensive Linemen: Roman Thomas and Matthew Murillo
  • Top Linebacker: Victor Garcia
  • Captains: Nathan Dodson and Eric Jackson

On the junior varsity team, sophomore split end and cornerback Lonnie Walker received MVP honors.
