NatureBridge Hike-A-Thon

NatureBridge's Hike-a-Thon is more than a fundraising event. It is a family fun day with child-friendly educational activities and more!

Lace up your shoes and hike in support of hands-on education in nature’s classroom!  Your donation to NatureBridge:
• Will connect youth and communities of all backgrounds with nature in our stunning national park locations;
• Will engage youth in hands-on, inquiry based explorations that change the way they experience science education; and
• Will inspire students and teachers to make a personal difference in protecting the environment and our planet.

Temescal Canyon is an ideal Santa Monica Mountains sampler. You get an oak- and sycamore-shaded canyon, a seasonal waterfall and terrific ocean views from the ridge crest. Trails are well-maintained. The full Temescal Canyon Loop is 4.4 miles with a 700-foot gain; the distance from the parking lot to the waterfall is 1.3 miles. The park is equipped with restroom facilities, picnic grounds, and native plant gardens.

Form a team to hike with us in beautiful Temescal Gateway Park on Sunday, April 29 from 10 am to 2 pm. Help us raise $50,000 and engage 250 hikers to ensure urban and rural school groups have access to hands-on science education in nature’s classroom.
