"The 'love' will flow that night as we dance the evening away to the fabulous sounds of RamFunkshus," said a statement on the auction website.

Funds will be earmarked toward PaliHi's College Center, student tutoring, field trips, and student programs such as journalism, art, theatre, music (both instrumental and choral), the academic clubs and the athletics program.

PaliHi auction organizers are asking for the following donations for the auction: tickets to sporting events, concerts or shows; gift certificates to restaurants and getaways such as weekend and day trips, and amusement parks; stores and spas; fine wines; memorabilia; and cash.

"As you are well aware with all of the budget cuts here in the state of California, the financial burden has shifted to the parents and community to maintain the high level of education provided to our students at Pali High," PaliHi parent Lorita Mendoza, a lead organizer, told the PaliPatch. "Thus, events like this are instrumental in reaching that goal."
