Pali High Senior Builds 10-Foot Float with Family

Pali High Senior Eeman Khorramian builds a 10-foot float with his family for the Palisades Fourth of July parade.

Pacific Palisades Charter High senior Eeman Khorramian doesn't just want his cake, he wants to share it with you. His leadership team at Pali High volunteered to build a float for the school's 50th anniversary celebration and Khorramian stepped up to the plate.

"We really wanted the entire Palisades to know what will be going on at our school this year," said Khorramian.

The senior and his family began working on a 10-foot cake in honor of Pali High's big year.  A feat even the likes of Emeril Lagasse would say deserves a good, "Bam!"

"It's not easy.  We probably wouldn't be as ambitious again in the future," said Khorramian. "But now that we did it, it was definitely worth the time, I would say."

Khorramian said one of the best parts about the project was working alongside his father. Another upside to the hard work: he will ride on the float during the Fourth of July Parade Monday.

"I've never been in a parade before. I've gone to the Pali Parade every year, so it's going to be a completely different perspective," he said. "It should be fun because it's our cake. It's our birthday gift to Pali."
