Pali High Marching Band, Voice for the Animals Receive Happy Hour Donations

The Yogurt Shoppe has raised more than $20,000 so far this year for local schools, organizations and charities in Pacific Palisades.

In it's ongoing fundraising efforts during its delicious frozen yogurt happy hours, The Yogurt Shoppe in Pacific Palisades has raised more than $20,000 for various communuty organizations and charities in 2012.

Happy Hour fundraisers supports an organization, charity, school, etc. for a two week period every day from 5 to 7 p.m., and a percentage of sales during that time period goes to a local organization. Sabin said they pride themselves on being a part of the local community and building connection and are huge advocates for community support and outreach programs.

Owner Kevin Sabin said the Pali High School Band was the largest turnout of any happy hour recipient to pick up their check ever, and it was very inspiring.

  • Voice for the Animals - $369.78
  • Pali Elementary School "Yee Haw" - $125.40
  • Canyon Charter Elementary School "Jammin in the Canyon" - $304.84
  • Children's Tumor Foundation - $462.54

Sabin added they just wrapped up fundraising for Paul Revere Charter Middle School and up next through Nov. 24 they are raising funds for Girls Scout Troop 12805.

Winter hours at The Yogurt Shop are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
