Pali High Football Loses to Venice High School 49-15
Senior Justin Sinclair and Quarterback Taylor Mensik put in gutsy efforts in the loss.
The Dolphins winning streak hit a brick wall Friday when the Dolphins played Venice, the other undefeated team in their league. Dolphins’ pride would have none of that, thanks to the gutsy efforts of Senior Justin Sinclair and Junior Quarterback Taylor Mensik. The Dolphins still lost 49-15, but were able to hold Venice to 49 points and score two touch downs.
Venice had embarrassed its three other league opponents by scoring more than 50 points and holding the opponents to zero. Pali High goes to 3-1 in league play.
The Dolphins may not have arrived yet, but they play with pride until the last whistle. Next week’s game against University Senior High School is a big game for the Dolphins and may have playoff implications. Come early and come hungry. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. for the varsity and concessions opens at 4 p.m. with the start of the JV Game.
