Cross country runners from were honored at the Los Angeles City Council meeting on Feb. 17.
According to Councilman Bill Rosendahl's blog site, the boys team won the City Section Cross Country Championship for large schools, which was held mid-November at Pierce College.
Rosendhal, along with Coach Ron Brumel, presented the following eight athletes with a congratulatory certificates:
- Grant Stromberg
- Drake Johnston
- Jonathon Tewodros
- Matthew Kato
- Austin Gelber
- Nick Wong
- Marissa Williams
Williams was the only female runner who went to state finals as an individual.
