Pali High Boys' Tennis Takes Third Place in Fresno Tournament

Doughtery Valley High School defeats Pali High to take first place in the touranment at Clovis High School in Fresno.

The Palisaides Charter High School boys' tennis team defeated both Valencia and Rio Amerciano 6-0 and Bakersfield 5-1 to advance to Saturday's semifinal on March 2 at the California Tennis Classic at Clovis High School in Fresno

According to Coach Bud Kling, Pali High played a very strong Dougherty Valley High School squad. Despite being ahead in all three singles matches, and even in two of the three doubles matches, fell to Doughtery Valley. He said when Pali played Daughtery Valley, they had two players who were slightly injured and one was sick. 

Doughtery Valley defeated Buckley 6-0 to win the tournament and Pali High dominated Pleasant Grove 6-0 to take third place.

Kling said they hope to move up to Div. II next year and to take the junior varsity as well, who would play in Div. 5 or 6.

Pali High played Beverly Hills on Tuesday.
