More than 1,000 hamburgers were sold at an In-N-Out truck fundraiser Monday during the Palisades Fourth of July celebration. Proceeds will be donated toward student activities at Pali High.

More than 1,000 In-N-Out hamburgers were sold in the lot of Gelson's Market Monday during a fundraiser organized by People for Palisades High. The final sum is still being tallied, but proceeds will support student activities at Pacific Palisades High School.

Lines reached up to an hour in length as crowds of people turned out to buy burgers.

"It turns out no advertising was necessary," quipped event organizer Chip Stuart.
