Vote by Mail Ballot Requests Due by Tuesday

There are several ways to request a ballot for the Nov. 5 election.

Voters who want to cast their ballots by mail for the Nov. 5 election have until Tuesday to request a Vote by Mail ballot, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan.

The office has already mailed about 550,000 absentee ballots, accounting for more than 30 percent of the 1.7 million eligible registered voters in L.A. County.

Requests for a Vote by Mail ballot can be made a few ways:

1.    Return the back of the Official Sample Ballot all voters receive by mail.

2.    Apply in person at the RR/CC's office at 12400 Imperial Hwy., 3rd floor, Room 3002, in Norwalk.

3.    Fill out a Vote by Mail ballot request form on lavote.net.

L.A. County residents who already applied for a Vote by Mail ballot can check the status of their ballot online.

Vote by Mail ballots must be received by the L.A. County RR/CC in Norwalk by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Voters can drop off or mail their ballot to RR/CC headquarters in Norwalk or drop their ballot off at any polling place in L.A. County on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Postmarked envelopes are not accepted. For more information, visit www.lavote.net
