Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl posted a YouTube video Thursday to address his situation and thank those who have wished him a speedy recovery since . Rosendahl also announced he has begun treatment.
The councilman begins by opening a letter he received from the Mar Vista Senior Club and thanks everyone for their support who's aware of his situation.
"I enjoy my work," Rosendahl said. "We're having a lot of fun. We hit an obstacle at the moment. It's called cancer. Millions of us have hit this obstacle over the last 10 years. We're fighters. We're survivors."
Rosendahl added he's particularly interested in the mayor's race as well as the new energy and ideas flowing into the city.
