Nominate Your Neighbor For the Golden Sparkplug Award
The Pacific Palisades Community Council is looking for nominees.
The Pacific Palisades Community Council announced it is officially looking for nominees for the annual Golden Sparkplug Award. The award honors Palisadians who ignite "ideas and projects into community action."
The following criteria was given to Patch from the PPCC:
- Nominee must have launched new idea/project benefitting the Palisades during 2011. The project may be in progress, or completed.
- Project must have major community impact and/or be a sustainable project in the Palisades.
- Project must have broad community affect and/or affect a larger group of people in the Palisades.
- Project or idea must have been a voluntary contribution that went above and beyond. It may not be related to one's business or job.
- Nominee may be an adult or youth.
- Only one member of a group or committee may be nominated.
To nominate your neighbor, send the name of the nominee, an explanation of their project and why the person should receive the award. Please include the following information:

Nominations are due by March 5.
The award ceremony will be held on April 26 at the American Legion Hall in Pacific Palisades.
